Founder and Chairman

Basim R. Faris is the Founder, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Fenchurch Faris Ltd. He holds a BBA from the American University of Beirut and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in London (FCII). Prior to establishing Fenchurch Faris Ltd. he was employed by and later became Group Vice President of Arab Commercial Enterprises/Sedgwick

Chief Executive Officer

Rafat Faris is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Rafat graduated from McMaster University in Canada with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and is a chartered member of the Insurance Institute of Canada (CIP). He worked in Toronto, Canada in the Special Risks Department at Marsh and then in Aon’s Property and Liability Department prior to joining Fenchurch Faris in 2004.

Executive Director

Zayd Faris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (BCom) from McGill University and an M.B.A. from Insead. He has worked at NBK Capital in New York and began his insurance career in 2007 in Abu Dhabi.

Chief Operating Officer

Mohammed El-Sayyed is Chief Operating Officer of Fenchurch Faris Ltd.’s insurance arm situated in Athens, Greece. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Economics and then his postgraduate studies in Business Administration. Mohammed joined Fenchurch Faris Ltd. in 1985.

Deputy COO and Director of Engineering & Casualty

Imad Garaisy is Deputy COO and Director of Engineering & Casualty at Fenchurch Faris. He holds a Law Degree and is fluent in Arabic (mother tongue), English, Greek and Romanian.

Chief Broking Officer

Magda Pastalatzi is Chief Broking Officer at Fenchurch Faris. Magda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Organizational Behaviour. She speaks English, French and Greek (mother tongue).

Chief Financial Officer

N. Kannan is the Chief Financial Officer at Fenchurch Faris Ltd. Kannan has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is a Chartered Accountant. He is a fellow member of the Chartered Accountants of India (FCA), a Chartered Insurance Broker and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London (ACII). He is Indian (mother tongue Tamil, second language English).
