What began as a bold joint venture between British and regional insurance expertise has evolved into one of the most respected independent insurance and reinsurance brokers in the EMEA region.

The Faris family connection to insurance began before Fenchurch Faris was founded, through the work of Basim Amin Faris, born in 1903.
After completing a master’s degree at Harvard University, he helped establish Arabia Insurance Company in Jerusalem in 1944, widely regarded as the first insurer in the Arab world. The company later moved to Beirut in 1955, where it continues to operate.
His contribution to regional insurance knowledge continued with the publication of Insurance and Reinsurance in the Arab World by Kluwer Publishing Ltd. in London in 1983.
Incorporated as a joint venture between British insurance expertise and regional commercial relationships. Athens branch opens, establishing the company's first footprint in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Within one year of founding, Fenchurch Faris establishes its first associate office in Kuwait, marking the beginning of the company's Gulf presence.
Entry into the United Arab Emirates with the opening of the Abu Dhabi branch, positioning the firm in one of the region's most dynamic insurance markets.
Faris Insurance Services is established in Amman, Jordan, alongside the founding of Fenchurch Faris Hellas, deepening presence in both the Levant and the Hellenic markets.
Fenchurch Faris enters Saudi Arabia through a strategic partnership with the Olayan Financing Company, one of the kingdom's most prominent business groups. Riyadh office established.
The Sultanate of Oman is added to the network with a dedicated office in Muscat, serving the country's growing insurance and reinsurance sector.
A second Saudi Arabian office opens in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, the heart of the kingdom's petrochemical and energy sector.
A landmark achievement: Fenchurch Faris is authorized as a Lloyd's Broker, becoming one of the select few regional firms with direct access to the Lloyd's of London marketplace.
Fenchurch Faris enters one of the world's fastest growing insurance markets with the launch of its Istanbul office, bringing the total network to 13 offices across 8 countries.
